The 2026 Asheville Zine Fest was this weekend! Pictures & Projections was one of 80 or so vendors that packed into Battery Park Hall in downtown Asheville to hawk wares and make new friends.

And how many new friends we made! It was so much fun getting to mingle with such a cool crowd. Thank you to everyone who stopped by. Whether you bought a copy of The Peep or simply wanted to talk shop about cinema, it all went to advance the PP Club mission: crafting community around the movies.

I am prouder still to have successfully launched the debut of our new issue, Summer “Camp,” which everyone was very nice about. We have tons of those left at $2 a pop, so if you didn’t have the chance to visit with us at the fest and just can’t wait to get your hands on a copy, leave a comment and let me know. I am proudest to have met a whopping THIRTEEN people who are interested in joining us for our future movie nights! I’ll be getting a newsletter together with dates, times, and titles soon. I can’t wait to grab a popcorn with you guys.

A special shoutout to Anna and Nadine, both of whom helped me with set-up and then quickly outstripped me at the engagement game. Anyone who came to check out our table did so because of those two. Additional thanks should be extended to Justin, Boomie, Josh, Juliette, Eli, Krista, Bean, and a few other friendly faces, all of whom did their part in making our table feel like the place to be.
